Anthony H Wilson  who was the central theme  in the film 24 hour party people, passed away tonight at the age of fifty seven. First time I came across Tony  proper was about seventeen years ago in  a half hour interview on a Granada TV programme called Face to Face. It was just me and him in a tv studio, cameras rolling. In the green room before the interview  he skinned up a spliff and I was introduced to the Wilson Way. 

The last time we met I interviewed him for a documentary on BBC radio four called Shiver, about the nature of  the shiver.  It's what happens when your in the presence of something special, dangerous and alluring.   Mr Tony Wilson, was special.  I've got to go prepare for Edinburgh. Leaving tomorrow at 6am. But tomorrow I'll dedicate my reading to him!
