One Day in Holland

I wake at 5am in London and by 3pm I’m on stage  in Utrecht in Holland  I’m reading for Crime Jazz. I love playing  Holland, the audience is warm.  Outside in the square stands a statue of diminutive Anne Frank.  It is an afternoon reading and  over by 4pm. Zena Edwards is here  reading across the street in an ornate church. At 6pm, after two lots of frittes and mayonnaise  I am on the train from Utrecht to Schipol airport in Amsterdam.
I arrive back in London at midnight.
