I’m teaching at a residential course with Caroline Bird  in The Highlands of Scotland at a place called Moniack Mhor. It explains my absence from the launch of the greatest gathering of poets on British soil, Poetry Parnassus. Poetry Parnassus is the brainchild of Southbank Centre’s new artist in residence Simon Armitage. 

Jude Kelly  artistic director at Southbank Centre began the residency programme  in 2006. The artist in residence and  the associate artist are  at the heart of Southbank Centre.   It is always worth asking the following question in any arts organisation – where are the artists?
