Careleavers: A photo with me in Preston?

standing in the snowCare Leavers with connection to Preston – are you free on Thursday Feb 7th for a photo with me?   Dovetail are holding an exhibition of Panoramas at The Museum of Lancashire in Preston. It was featured in The Indpendent last weekend.  There will be nearly 100 panoramic photographs of Preston life – the first time a city has ever been captured in this way. I’ve written  an original poem to accompany the exhibition, which I’ll be  performing at the exhibition launch on Thursday, February 7th.

Dovetail  say “As we are getting more and more coverage and as interest is growing we thought we could do a panorama with Lemn himself, who is a care leaver, and to do it with a group of other care leavers. Sorry this is such short notice – but we just have Lemn here for the launch of the exhibition and we thought it was too good a chance to miss! The photo will go into the exhibition soon after, and do please stay for the exhibition launch, where Lemn will perform his poem.”

So – we’re looking for care leavers of any age who are either from Preston or who were in care in Preston. A care leaver is it is someone who was in care. You could be sixty. You could be seventeen.   If you are interested please let us know – we’ll do the photograph at 4.30pm on Thursday Feb 7th at the  Museum of Lancashire    Organised by Dovetail : http://www.dovetailtogether.co.uk.  If you would like to attend please let us know at info@dovetailtogether.co.uk.  Or call us on 0161 236 6662
