    • The Dinner is 3pm. We can’t give information out as yet except this. The afternoon starts 1-pm The dinner is 3pm the event is ten minutes outside of manchester city centre. We would like the choir before 3pm. That is as much information as I can give before confirmation due to secret location. It is aon trust. Once you can confirm I can tell yuo the details. But best to know it is ten minutes form piccadilly.

      • Some members of the Scared Sounds Women’s Interfaith Choir would be interested in supporting this…so just let us know as things firm up. x

  1. What a brilliant idea!

I’ve passed the request on to Picturehouse (the choir I’m in) and Open Voice and will share it anywhere else I can think of too.

What are you after? A general variety of songs from around the world or specifically carols/secular songs of celebration?

    • We are after Christmas Carols but songs from around the world are fun too but actually Christmas songs… with a christmassy feel.. really I guess… to be honest

  2. Are you looking for a whole choir, or are you able to put together a choir from people who can make it. I sing with Open Voice, there are people who want to do this but we may not be able to put a whole choir together.

  3. I am the administrator for Social Work Dept at University of Huddersfield. I am really interested in helping out on the day but can’t seem to find out anything about how I can do this. I’m willing to help out wherever needed, be it actually serving up Christmas dinner, washing up, peeling spuds / Brussels etc….. Sadly I’m tone deaf so can’t help out with the singing…..!!!! Any information would be gratefully appreciated. Ann Butler

    • Ann MANY THANKS. I am sorry our volunteer call finished on November 19th. I understand that next year it is likely to be at University of Huddersfield too….

      • Gutted….. We were asked about volunteering a couple of months ago but never received any further information. Looks like it will have to be next year then…..

  4. Have you been able to firm up a choir? I sing with Sacred Sounds (Beth Allen’s earlier post) – or anyone who’ll have me!
