After a day at The South Bank in meetings I went to see Moths Ate My Doctor Who Scarf last night to watch Toby Hadoke perform it. Toby and producer Mark Attwood are Dr Who fans of old and have built this show. Interesting night, Mark is a drinking buddy of old. I didn’t drink a drop all night and really enjoyed myself and the show. It’s funny how I used to equate quality time with getting wrecked. I’m so pleased I live in London – I love it here.
This website is the best example of how poetry can be presented on the world wide webble that I have seen so far. The poets name is Kwame Dawes who spent some time in residence at a hospital in Jamaica http://www.livehopelove.com/
hi lemn
the link for the website didn't work?!
That must have been frustrating. I have corrected it and the link works now.
nice one – I really like the site!
Lemn do you do visits to schools? I run a monthly poetry show at my primary school and we'd love to have you as a special guest – the pupils have written their own version of 'airmail to a dictionary' .
I appreciate you're kind of busy, and hope you don't mind me asking.
Cheers,
The children learning versions of Airmail. Now that's a wonderful thing. Unfortunately I no longer read in primary schools. I may do them in the future if I write another childrens book. 'course i don't mind your asking – it's an honour.
