Rain at The Bank

At The Bank the fountain installation an hundred or so yards from my office is in full bloom. It is called Appearing Rooms. There are four rooms in total. Thousands of water jets form the walls which rise and fall. People walk in only to find themselves enclosed in a room as the water wall reappears behind them. Here they wait until one of the walls disappears and then step into the next. Today in the heart of Appearing Rooms a man with an opened umbrella and his daughter are shivering but laughing. It is pouring pouring pouring with rain and the fountain seems reborn with a peculiar beauty. It's slightly embarrassing now they've met. Fountain meet rain. Rain meet fountain.
